In Flanders fields the poppies blow

In Flanders Fields by John McCrae

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

The day in the life of a poppy

We've been back in Paris for a while now but I just wanted to share some of the poppy photos I took while we were in the Loire.

Waking up.

Watching breakfast television.

Going to work.

Coming home from work.

Eyeing up an elder.

Caught in a rain storm (once the rain stopped it bounced back to life again).

Dressed up and ready to paint the town red.

The end.
