How very sad to see the elephant go a missing. There's a half cat (head) half fish (body), perhaps by the same guy, on Passage des Petites Ecuries; my toddler, Storsh, and I pass it everyday en route to school. We'd be crushed if he went missing!
Yes, I'm afraid the elephant didn't last long. I live in some kind of hope that rather than being in a bin, it adorns somebody's bedroom wall somewhere...I'm afraid you will have to be prepared for the half cat half fish to disappear one day, but you will certainly find something else to be cheered up by. This is Paris after all!
